Who is Beloved Memphis?
We are a healing collective of community caregivers. We organize in the understanding that systematic failures have historically and presently inflict pain, suffering and dis-ease on the minds, in the bodies, and within the spirits of Black folk. We come together to utilize our collective power to extend care, comfort, and healing that counteracts the harmful and traumatic experiences with these harmful systems of oppression.
What We Do
❤️We assemble care packages for the immediate families of Memphis citizens who have been killed by homicide, including citizens who have been killed by police / law enforcement.
🖤We organize free and accessible community gatherings that center healing, wellness, and wholeness.
💚We curate culture-affirming, pay what you can, donation based events and celebrations.
